God’s Kindness

http://bible.com/r/5D.1 Today I am reading day 1 of The Kindess of God:

Romans 11:21-22 MSG

If God didn’t think twice about taking pruning shears to the natural branches, why would he hesitate over you? He wouldn’t give it a second thought. Make sure you stay alert to these qualities of gentle kindness and ruthless severity that exist side by side in God—ruthless with the deadwood, gentle with the grafted shoot. But don’t presume on this gentleness. The moment you become deadwood, you’re out of there.

Daryl: My prayer for us today is that we will recognize God’s kindness toward us and celebrate it by practicing kindness to others.

  1. I like your prayer at the end, Daryl–that part I can accept and pray harder/more willingly to fulfill. Maybe there are folks, believers, who need a “rough” exhortation–I just know that God is very gentle with the bruised reeds among us, like me. God bless you BIG. sis Cj
