Indescribable…by Billy Graham

2 Corinthians 9:15 NKJV

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

No Strings Attached

A gift is not a gift unless it is accepted. God has given you His Son, but ownership is conditional on acceptance. God does not force His gift on us, but He asks us to receive by faith the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. A person who deliberately refuses God’s offer of love, mercy, and forgiveness is lost. Most people gratefully receive a gift when given in love. The greatest sin that a person can commit is to refuse God’s love.

Daily Prayer

I reached out for Your gift of Jesus and received forgiveness and eternal life. Thank You, my heavenly Father.

PSALM 136:1-26 NKJV

Oh, give thanks to the Lord , for He  is good! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever: To Him who alone does great wonders, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who laid out the earth above the waters, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who made great lights, For His mercy endures forever— The sun to rule by day, For His mercy endures forever; The moon and stars to rule by night, For His mercy endures forever. To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn, For His mercy endures forever; And brought out Israel from among them, For His mercy endures forever; With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever; And made Israel pass through the midst of it, For His mercy endures forever; But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who led His people through the wilderness, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who struck down great kings, For His mercy endures forever; And slew famous kings, For His mercy endures forever— Sihon king of the Amorites, For His mercy endures forever; And Og king of Bashan, For His mercy endures forever— And gave their land as a heritage, For His mercy endures forever; A heritage to Israel His servant, For His mercy endures forever. Who remembered us in our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever; And rescued us from our enemies, For His mercy endures forever; Who gives food to all flesh, For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever.

A Plan of Thanksgiving VI

1 CORINTHIANS 15:57-58 (NKJV)

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Judgement

PSALM 9:1-20 NIV

I will give thanks to you, Lord , with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High. My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you. For you have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever. Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished. The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord , have never forsaken those who seek you. Sing the praises of the Lord , enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted. Lord , see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death, that I may declare your praises in the gates of Daughter Zion, and there rejoice in your salvation. The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden. The Lord is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.  The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God. But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish. Arise, Lord , do not let mortals triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence. Strike them with terror, Lord ; let the nations know they are only mortal.

A Plan of Thanksgiving II

1 CHRONICLES 16:7-36 NIV

That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise to the Lord in this manner:   Give praise to the Lord , proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.   Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.   Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.   Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.   Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,   you his servants, the descendants of Israel, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob.   He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth.   He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations,   the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.   He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:   “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”   When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,   they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.   He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:   “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”   Sing to the Lord , all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.   Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.   For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.   For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.   Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place.   Ascribe to the Lord , all you families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.   Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.   Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.   Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!”   Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!   Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the Lord , for he comes to judge the earth.   Give thanks to the Lord , for he is good; his love endures forever.   Cry out, “Save us, God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.”   Praise be to the Lord , the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said “Amen” and “Praise the Lord .”
