Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Phillipians 4:6-7 (NKJV)

PSALM 100:1-5 ESV – Make a joyful noise to the Lord , all the earth!   Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!  Know that the Lord , he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.   Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!   For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

A Plan of Thanksgiving XIV – finale

PSALM 118:1-29 ESV

Oh give thanks to the Lord , for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!   Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever.”   Let the house of Aaron say, “His steadfast love endures forever.”   Let those who fear the Lord say, “His steadfast love endures forever.”   Out of my distress I called on the Lord ; the Lord answered me and set me free.   The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?   The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me.   It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.  It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.   All nations surrounded me; in the name of the Lord I cut them off!  They surrounded me, surrounded me on every side; in the name of the Lord I cut them off!   They surrounded me like bees; they went out like a fire among thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them off!  I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the Lord helped me.  The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.  Glad songs of salvation are in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the Lord does valiantly,  the right hand of the Lord exalts, the right hand of the Lord does valiantly!”   I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord .  The Lord has disciplined me severely, but he has not given me over to death.   Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord .  This is the gate of the Lord ; the righteous shall enter through it.  I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation.   The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.  This is the Lord ’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.  This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.  Save us, we pray, O Lord ! O Lord , we pray, give us success!   Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord ! We bless you from the house of the Lord .  The Lord is God, and he has made his light to shine upon us. Bind the festal sacrifice with cords, up to the horns of the altar!  You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you.   Oh give thanks to the Lord , for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!

EZRA 3:11 ESV – And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord , “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever toward Israel.” And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the Lord , because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

2 SAMUEL 22:1-51 ESV

And David spoke to the Lord the words of this song on the day when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,   my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence.  I call upon the Lord , who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.   “For the waves of death encompassed me, the torrents of destruction assailed me;   the cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me.   “In my distress I called upon the Lord ; to my God I called. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry came to his ears.  “Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations of the heavens trembled and quaked, because he was angry.  Smoke went up from his nostrils, and devouring fire from his mouth; glowing coals flamed forth from him.   He bowed the heavens and came down; thick darkness was under his feet.  He rode on a cherub and flew; he was seen on the wings of the wind.  He made darkness around him his canopy, thick clouds, a gathering of water.  Out of the brightness before him coals of fire flamed forth.   The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered his voice.  And he sent out arrows and scattered the lightning, and routed them.  Then the channels of the sea were seen; the foundations of the world were laid bare, at the rebuke of the Lord , at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.   “He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters.  He rescued me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.  They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support.   He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me.  “The Lord dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he rewarded me.   For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not wickedly departed from my God.   For all his rules were before me, and from his statutes I did not turn aside.  I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from guilt.   And the Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his sight.   “With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless;  with the purified you deal purely, and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous.   You save a humble people, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down.   For you are my lamp, O Lord , and my God lightens my darkness.  For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.  This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.  “For who is God, but the Lord ? And who is a rock, except our God?  This God is my strong refuge and has made my way blameless.   He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights.   He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.  You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your gentleness made me great.   You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip;  I pursued my enemies and destroyed them, and did not turn back until they were consumed.  I consumed them; I thrust them through, so that they did not rise; they fell under my feet.  For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me.  You made my enemies turn their backs to me, those who hated me, and I destroyed them.  They looked, but there was none to save; they cried to the Lord , but he did not answer them.  I beat them fine as the dust of the earth; I crushed them and stamped them down like the mire of the streets.  “You delivered me from strife with my people; you kept me as the head of the nations; people whom I had not known served me.  Foreigners came cringing to me; as soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me.  Foreigners lost heart and came trembling out of their fortresses.  “The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be my God, the rock of my salvation,  the God who gave me vengeance and brought down peoples under me,  who brought me out from my enemies; you exalted me above those who rose against me; you delivered me from men of violence.

A Plan of Thanksgiving X

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

A plan of Thanksgiving V

COLOSSIANS 2:6-15 NKJV

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

PSALM 63:1-4 NKJV

O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
