“Judging others makes us blind, whereas love is illuminating. By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of Discipleship
Love is what the world needs to realize today, not judgmentalism. That comes later…from God, not us!
That is so true! Something I am always working on and praying for the grace needed to always love.
I think we all have to work on it!
I have learned the hard way, its not my job. I avoid it…..
You are a wise man!
It’s a hard thing to unlearn, but worthy to continue striving toward–I’m all for it!! God bless you, Daryl.
Hey, are you reading Bonhoeffer? I have heard of the book but never picked it up yet. I know he is good. He is such a hero of the faith.
Yes. I suggest you go through the biography first, published about two years ago. Hard reading in parts, but gives good insight. Then The Cost of Discipleship. Some of these are available on kindle.
